Turcu-mert a kebab FiNoM

We will start walking from the main square, cross the bridge and pass a bakery and a shop selling wedding dresses. We will arrive at the main street and walk past the many beautiful and colourful Art Nouveau buildings, with many cafés, bookshops, clothing shops, pastry shops, restaurants, and yes, even a casino on the ground floor.

Just after the casino is Turcu, a simple, perfectly ordinary fast-food restaurant. Outside, the red sign reads "La Turcu", so we cannot miss it. The inside of the restaurant is very simple, there’s nothing special. It's a bit cramped, but we can definitely find a few tables where we can sit down. The staff are good, or even excellent, they can understand us and be understood, they speak Hungarian, Romanian, English, and Turkish of course. I think there are two or three Turkish guys, so if an exchange student asks about it, now you know the place.

The food is very good, they mostly just sell kebabs in a pitta or on a plate with a good hot sauce or peppers, I can highly recommend it. I might add that other food has been added to the menu recently, such as Turkish-style pizzas, soups, salads as well as desserts and of course soft drinks. Of the desserts, the baklava is a must-try. As it is located in the centre and close to many outdoor venues, I can heartily recommend this place. Not far from the restaurant is Petőfi Park where you can enjoy your meal in the fresh air.

What is also important to say is that the place is not cheap, unfortunately, it costs about 27-30 RON for a portion, but they usually add extra meat for free. You can also ask for takeaway and they also do delivery, I think Glovo sometimes has a discount too. All in all, if you want to eat well and you like spicy food, Turcu is the place for you.
