Limerick Writing Contest

The English Department of Partium Christian University organizes its first

 

Limerick Writing Contest

 

for PCU BA and MA students majoring in English (double majors and Translation MA and Multiculturalism MA students included)

 

The theme of the poem can be anything as far it meets the formal requirements of limerick poetry: five lines, humorous, lines 1,2, 5 rhyme, lines 3, 4 rhyme (AABBA), it has a specific rhythm.

Deadline: 20th of February, 2022

Submit to: english@partium.ro

 

Emails should contain the following information on the participant: name, year of study, BA or MA. Please save the word document (name it) with your name.

The best limericks will be published on the Department’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

 

Only original works will be accepted.

One author can submit maximum two limericks.

 

Winners will be awarded the following prizes:

1st prize: 300 RON

2nd prize: 200 RON

3rd prize: 150 RON
